Remove the grounding rod from the www.allmand.com mounting clip located on the right side panel directly to the left of the generating set. 2. Drive the ground rod into the earth. 3. WALK-AROUND FOUR-POINT OUTRIGGERS www.allmand.com • allows light tower to remain stable • can withstand gusts up to 65 mph (105 kph) • following the Erect Mast instructions on the pictorial diagram: • extend both side outriggers and level the trailer using the screw jacks on the outriggers, the tongue, and the rear of the trailer * The trailer must be set up with both outriggers fully extended and all four jacks secured with their feet on solid, stable ground. WALK-AROUND WINCH HANDLE ON SIDE OF ENCLOSURE - LAYDOWN • raises the tower from horizontal to vertical • located on the right side of the enclosure • after releasing the rear tower locking pin, rotate the handle clockwise to raise the tower from its stowed position to full vertical *Unlike most other light towers with the winch on the drawbar, the operator is safely out of the path of the tower as it is being raised or lowered, minimizing the possibility of injury in the event of a cable or winch failure. www.allmand.com Night-Lite PRO II™ 50/60 Hz
  22. 22. WALK-AROUND SPRING-LOADED TOWER LATCH - LAYDOWN Automatically secures the tower in vertical position. To lower, pull and hold the spring pin while operating the manual winch until it is clear of the latch plate.   24. 24. WALK-AROUND ROTATING THE TOWER - LAYDOWN When the tower is in its full vertical position and the tower latch has been secured into the latch plate, the tower can be rotated: 1. Loosen the rotator locking knob by turning in a counter-clockwise direction. 2. Rotate the tower as necessary to provide the maximum light coverage for the area being illuminated. 3. Tighten the knob by turning it clockwise to secure the tower in desired position . *Before lowering the tower, the rotator locking knob must be aligned with the triangle on the tower pivot section to ensure that the mast can be securely latched when fully stowed for lifting or towing. www.allmand.com Night-Lite PRO II™ 50/60 Hz

WALK-AROUND ADJUSTING THE LIGHTS www.allmand.com Night-Lite PRO II™ 50/60 Hz • Before raising the tower, position the lights for optimal coverage of the area to be illuminated. • For maximum illumination, fixtures should be positioned with the lens 10°-20° below the horizon (as shown) and spread out as required to illuminate the area. • If lens is not tipped down slightly, the are lit will not be as great since some of the light will be projected above the horizon.

SERVICE, MAINTENANCE, & TROUBLESHOOTING www.allmand.com Night-Lite PRO II™ 50/60 Hz FUEL REQUIREMENTS • Use a clean No. 2 diesel fuel oil (SAE J313 JUN87) according to ASTM D975 • Do not use alternative fuels because their quality is unknown and they may be inferior and damage the engine • Do not use kerosene – it has a very low cetane rating and will adversely affect the engine • Refer to the CAT, Kubota, or Kohler engine operator’s manual (included in the literature packet with your light tower) for more detailed requirements

SERVICE, MAINTENANCE, & TROUBLESHOOTING www.allmand.com Night-Lite PRO II™ 50/60 Hz GENERATOR – CAPACITOR EXCITATION | VOLTAGE REGULATION • A single capacitor is used to regulate the voltage within 5% of the rated load • Use extreme caution when handling capacitors – the capacitor will still contain high voltage even after the engine has stopped operating • Always discharge the capacitor before handling: • Use an insulated conductor (jumper wire) or a screwdriver with an insulated handle to short across the capacitor terminals, and discharge the capacitor prior to handling

SERVICE, MAINTENANCE, & TROUBLESHOOTING www.allmand.com Night-Lite PRO II™ 50/60 Hz GENERATOR MAINTENANCE – PERIODIC INSPECTION • Clean and inspect generator after every 200 hours of normal operating time • If the generator is housed in a harsh environment, it is advisable to clean and inspect the unit more frequently • If dirt and grease is allowed to build up, the generator will run hotter, lose efficiency, and reduce the life of the generator
