  2. 2. What is an adjective?<br />An adjective is a describing word. It describes the noun in asentence: <br />the old man, cold water, an angry dog.<br />In German adjectives are used to show the gender of the noun (whether it is a masculine, feminine, neuter or plural noun).<br />
