An RF module is a small electronic circuit used to transmit, receive, or transceive
radio waves on one of a number of carrier frequencies. RF modules are widely used
in consumer applications such as garage door openers, wireless alarm systems, industrial
remote controls, smart sensor applications, weather monitoring system, RFID,
wireless mouse technology and wireless home automation systems. They are often
used instead of infrared remote controls as they have the advantage of not requiring
line-of-sight operation.

Wireless RF Module Using PIC Controller ! The encoders are a series of CMOS LSIs for remote control system applications. Four switches D0, D1, D2 and D3 to give 4-bit parallel data (D0-D3). The Transmitter Enable (TE, pin 14) pin is an active low pin. A resistance as high as 1M ohm is required in between OSC1 and OSC2 pins. The address pins MUST have the same address in both transmitter and receiver. Wireless RF Module Using PIC Controller ! Decoders compare the serial input data three times continuously with their local addresses. Capacitor (0.01uF) is used between Vcc and GND for noise filtering. Pin 17 (VT) is enabled whenever the receiver receives any data. HT12D is arranged to provide 8 address bits and 4 data bits. Address pins (A0-A7, pin 1- 8) are grounded.
