Body Systems Project Specific Curriculum Outcomes assessed by this project: Work cooperatively with team members to develop and carry out a plan and troubleshoot problems as they arise. Relate the needs and functions of various cells and organs to the needs and functions of the human organism as a whole Explain structural and functional relationships between and among cells, tissues, organs and systems in the human body Describe the basic factors that affect the functions and efficiency of the human respiratory, circulatory, digestive, excretory and nervous systems Describe examples of the interdependence of various systems of the human body.

Individual Work  Heart walk You must complete the following: Use the provided outline of the heart to practice. Fill in the blanks for all body systems (5 pages) Pretend you are a red blood cell moving through the circulatory system. As you Human Body System Chart for all 5 walk through the chalk outline on the body systems pavement, be able to describe what is happening to you and where your headed and why. Choose ONE (1) of the following: You must use proper vocabulary (parts of the heart) Comic Life Story Board  Healthy Diet and Fitness Brochure trace the path of a RED BLOOD cell through the circulatory system Design and create a brochure to focus on how diet and fitness are important to the or healthy functioning of the digestive and circulatory systems trace the path of FOOD through the digestive system * include citation of sources used * include citation of sources used
