  41. 41. Some studies about logotype and the typography
  42. 42. Studies of typeface:In first selection I discarded the ones thatI thought it wouldn’t work as a logotype forbeing too light or too common. film maker FILM MAKERfilm maker film maker film maker film makerFILM MAKER FILM MAKER FILM MAKER FILM MAKERfilm maker film makerFILM MAKER FILM MAKER film maker

  44. 44. Studies of typeface:So I kept this typefaces, and thenI began my logotype studies. film maker film maker film maker FILM MAKER FILM MAKER film maker FILM MAKER
  45. 45. Studies of logotype:The biggest problem for me was the dou-ble “M”, and I really focused on that tocome with a good solution.
  46. 46. Studies of logotype:That logotypes were too complicatedfor a magazine, they also weren’t directas it supposed to be.
  47. 47. Studies of logotype:I discarded the serif typeface because Ithought it was too fancy and classic, andthis were not the characteristics that Iwas looking for. film maker: the magazine of independent film FILM MAKER: the magazine of independent film film maker, the magazine of independent film FILM MAKER, the magazine of independent film
  48. 48. Studies of logotype:I tryed to use a sign like ”:” and “,” to givemore importance to the selling line that inthat point I thought it was realy importantbecause it is the essence of the magazine. But then, I talked with the professor andsaw that it should be small. film maker: the magazine of independent film film maker, the magazine of independent film FILM MAKER, the magazine of independent film FILM MAKER: FILM MAKER, FILM/MAKER the magazine of INDEPENDENT film the magazine of INDEPENDENT film the magazine of INDEPENDENT film film maker ,the magazine of independent film film maker the magazine of independent film FILM MAKER FILM MAKER the magazine of INDEPENDENT film :the magazine of INDEPENDENT film

  54. 54. Studies of logotype:And then I refined the logotypesthat were more successful.
  55. 55. Studies of logotype:
  56. 56. Comparing logotypes:The first reminds me something vintage, itis really impactant and gets attention, butthe first one has the beauty in the detailsand in the simplicity like I wanted it to be.The selling line is written with a mono-type typeface that reminds the moviescripts, but it was too disconnectedwith the logotype.
  57. 57. Last ajustments:I changed the color of the line in betweenthe words, and I thought that the colorcould change in each issue.
  58. 58. Last ajustments:And I made the typeface of the selling linein All Caps, so the the composition becamemore unit. THE MAGAZINE OF INDEPENDENT FILM
