Dean Smith Center /Dean Dome <ul><li>Named after Dean Smith who coached the team from 1961 to 1997 </li></ul><ul><li>It is now the fifth largest arena in college basketball, and the fourth-largest designed specifically for basketball </li></ul><ul><li>North Carolina has a record of 279-51 (.845) at the Smith Center </li></ul>

Roy Williams UNC Years <ul><li>Williams came to UNC in 2003 and by 2005 he won his first national championship </li></ul><ul><li>With star talent coming back after the 2008 season UNC won the national title in a landslide over Michigan State </li></ul><ul><li>Roy Williams was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame on April 1, 2007 </li></ul>
