Based on the number of people, there are a lot of variations that have been made to the airsoft games. The following slides intend to throw light on the popular airsoft games
  4. 4. 1. MilSim  Also called military simulation, this popular game combines airsoft elements and live military action. There are goals and missions assigned to the individual teams. These lay the foundation for confrontation in maintaining the perimeter security and firefighting with airsoft guns.  MilSim games follow the rule of players adorning uniforms or military clothing to get a better experience of the game. It also emphasizes on detailed replicas of gun. The main theme of the game lies in simulating military operations.
  5. 5. 2. CTF (Capture the Flag)  CTF is a popular game in paintball and airsoft. As the name suggests, the game is structured in a way such that each of the competing teams tries to find and capture the opponent team’s flag. The flag will have to be clearly visible during the course of the game and can be carried by any of the player in both teams.
  6. 6. CTF (Capture the Flag) continued..  Live Flag: In live flag, the flag will be dropped in case of the flag carrier being shot. In such a scenario, another player can pick up the flag and continue the game.  Dead Flag: In dead flag, the flag carrier is expected to return the flag to the opponents base. The attacked player is eliminated and the game resumes. In some variations of this game, the eliminated player can re enter the play if the flag has not been captured from their team.
  7. 7. 3. King of the Hill The theme of this game is to siege. One team would be designated as the King of the Hill. These players are positioned behind a bunker called as hill with their airsoft guns and barricade themselves. The opponent team in this case would play the role of attackers. On top of the hill, would be a flag. The attacking team tries to take control of the hill by eliminating the king team. Whoever is closest to the flag at the time out will be declared the winner of the game.

When the players have taken the flag from their objective they are expected to leave the flag at a drop zone. The competition would be in seizing the flag first and attacking or defending the base.
  10. 10. 6. Hostage Rescue  The theme of hostage rescue is to attack and defend. The two teams would be guards and the other team would have the hostages and rescuers. One of the two teams will find a base and defend the same by holding it as an unarmed hostage. 11. 11. Hostage Rescue continued..  The players who are held as hostages typically reside in different locations.  The rescuers are allowed to carry extra weapons to save their hostages.  The hostages are permitted to flee, but this would result in their elimination.
  12. 12. 7. Free-for-all Differing from the other airsoft games which usually split the players into teams with different missions, free-for-all airsoft game is played without any teams. All players are termed as individual combatants here who are competing against the other players. The game commences with each one trying to shoot and eliminate anyone. The last person who survives till the end would be declared as the winner.
