European Business Delegation India Visit 5 & 6 Nov 2009

EUROPEAN BUSINESS DELEGATION TO INDIA New Delhi, 5-6 November 2009 The European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC) is proud to announce the first European Business Delegation to India, which will be organized at the eve of the EU-India Summit in Delhi. The EBTC was established in 2008 and aims to strengthen cooperation among European and Indian companies, with a special focus on clean technologies. It operates through its headquarters in Delhi and soon via 3 additional regional offices in Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata as well. Four priority sectors constitute the bulk of EBTC activities in the first years of operation: Energy, Environment, Biotechnology and Transport EBTC’s services to the benefit of European companies will include: • Facilitating the transfer of clean technologies; • Matchmaking & partners search • Access to leading edge market intelligence • Information on sources of finance • Facilitating trade fair and conference participation The EBTC consortium is led by EUROCHAMBRES, the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and constituted of 16 European partner organizations. As a break-through initiative, the EBTC European Business Delegation will bring approximately 50 highly motivated companies from the European Union member states to India, and ultimately gain easier access to the Indian market. Participation in the Delegation is kindly sponsored by EBTC and the participating companies will only have to cover their travel & accommodation expenses. In addition, free-of-charge participation in the India-EU Business Forum taking place at the same time is foreseen for interested participants. EBTC is a programme co-funded by the European Union
