Early Life <ul><li>Henry Hudson was born in London,England. </li></ul><ul><li>He was born on September 12,1575 </li></ul><ul><li>Hudson came from a wealthy family.his grandfather was also named Henry Hudson and was the founder of the merchant adventures company.when Hudson grew up he married a lady named Katherine,and had 3 sons,John, Oliver , and Richard . </li></ul>

Previous Experience <ul><li>If Henry Hudson lived for as long as he wanted he would have been well educated and would have studied cartography, navigation, astronomy, mathematics, and seaman ship in his time. </li></ul><ul><li>Henry Hudson also worked with his father at the English Muscovey Company. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Exploration <ul><li>Henry Hudson had four voyages.On one of his last voyages, he came ten years before the pilgrims landed on Plymouth rock and two years after the James town colony was established sixty miles south of The Cheese cake bay.Hudson went through some problems on one of his voyages when he was unable to get through ice laden waters on his way past the islands of Novaya Zemlya. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Results <ul><li>On September 12, 1609 Henry Hudson began his exploration of the river now named after him. No passage was discovered, but the area turned out to be known as the best fur trading place in the region of North America. The ship left the river on October 4, sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, and arrived in England on Saturday, November 7. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Conclusion <ul><li>Henry Hudson died on June 22, 1611. </li></ul><ul><li>No one knows were or what caused Henry Hudson to die. </li></ul><ul><li>Henry Hudson is remembered today by the Hudson River. It was named after him because he was the first explorer to discover that river </li></ul>
