  2. 2. What is Styrodur® Styrodur® can look back on more than 50 years of experience at BASF in Ludwigshafen and belongs to the group of extruded rigid polystyrene foams (XPS). Styrodur® has a European market focus. Key benefits of the insulation board:  Low water absorption through closed-cell content  High compressive strength (300 kPa, 500 kPa, 700 kPa) 2

Typical applications of Styrodur® 3  Perimeter insulation (exterior insulation for building elements with ground contact)  Floor insulation  Flat roof and inverted roof insulation  Insulation of thermal bridges Styrodur® can be used in almost all structural and civil engineering applications.
