  2. 2. The ship ran into trouble about 120km (75 miles) north of the Antarctic Peninsula. Newsflash 23rd November - Explorer hits a ‘Growler’
  3. 3. Passengers and crew took to lifeboats after being ordered to abandon ship after it began to take in water.
  4. 4. The 2,400-tonne vessel later sank once all the passengers and crew had been evacuated safely
  5. 5. More than 150 passengers and crew were rescued, the little red ship now lies at the bottom of the southern ocean
