General Electric ranks its employees: </li></ul><ul><li>-Those in the bottom 10 percent have 1 year to rise or they are fired. -This ensures that underperformers are excluded from the team. </li></ul>

HOW CAN YOU AVOID INTERNAL OPPONENTS? <ul><li>Do not imagine the people you are working with as opponents, but rather look at them asteam members. </li></ul><ul><li>Externalize the opponent. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure that you are playing by your company’s rules and are always seen as part of the team. </li></ul><ul><li>If you are not, you will find very quickly that the team is against you. </li></ul>

BE A TEAM PLAYER! <ul><li>When interviewing, Stress that you are a team player. </li></ul><ul><li>When doing a job, ensure you are winning for your team. </li></ul><ul><li>Be an asset. </li></ul><ul><li>Be public about helping the team. </li></ul><ul><li>Never speak negatively about your team </li></ul>
