ABOUT  1995, Mr. Punit Goenka set off on an extraordinary, career-defining journey with the Essel Conglomerate.  From heading the Music Division of Zee TV to taking charge as Director for a host of Public Limited Companies:  Essel Infraprojects Ltd.,  Essel Telecom Holdings Ltd.,  Zee Sports Ltd.,  His consistent performance, innovative strategies and an inimitable flair for new business opportunities saw him move up the corporate ladder. He has also served as Director of Dish TV India Ltd., (Jan 2007 to April 2008).

  9. 9. The biggest chunk of my time goes into programming. At the end of the day, that is our product. The sales guys can’t sell unless the ratings are delivered. And I always tell the programming guys that you are only as good as your last show. On what do you spend the bulk of your time?
