  2. 3. <ul><li>“ Men Behaving Responsibly” held in August 2010 </li></ul><ul><li>Several dozen young men participated in a daylong sexual health and wellness and accountability program aimed at young men at the middle and high school level. </li></ul>WHAT THEY SEE IS WHAT THEY’LL BE
  3. 4. <ul><li>Established in 2011 in anticipation of achieving 501c3 status </li></ul><ul><li>Purpose: To identify opportunities for external funding of chapter programs </li></ul><ul><li>Purpose: To suggest partnerships that extend the limited resources of chapter by working with other local groups with similar goals/objectives </li></ul><ul><li>Accomplishments: -INSPIRE, EDUCATION ENABLE grant application </li></ul><ul><li>-100 Black Men Summit </li></ul>WHAT THEY SEE IS WHAT THEY’LL BE
  4. 5. <ul><li>Participated in “Men and Boys” Breakfast & College Fair for THREE YEARS! </li></ul><ul><li>“ Mentoring the 100 Way” Program at Westlawn Middle School has completed its THIRD SEMESTER! </li></ul><ul><li>About 50 male students (6 th , 7 th and 8 th grade) served in weekly sessions </li></ul>WHAT THEY SEE IS WHAT THEY’LL BE
  5. 6. Held each February, the Men and Boys Breakfast has become one of the biggest events of year for the 100. At least two dozen colleges represented, many by members of 100 Black Men. Each boy attending receives a book from 100 Black Men.
  6. 7. <ul><li>41 students completed end-of-year surveys May 2011 </li></ul><ul><li>40 of the 41 students plan to attend college </li></ul><ul><li>75% of the students have interest in pursuing studies in either MATH or SCIENCE </li></ul><ul><li>63% said “making the honor roll” is VERY IMPORTANT </li></ul><ul><li>70.7% believe you can ALWAYS “do anything you put your mind to” </li></ul>WHAT THEY SEE IS WHAT THEY’LL BE

  11. 12. After two spring terms, the pizza party at the end of school year has become an “expected” event for students at Westlawn.
