MOOC GdP & Value creation • One year: how many ECTS on GdP2 + GdP3? 8.444 =125 student*years • Cost of one student*year in France : 13.827 € • MOOC GdP produces 1,7 millions € value/year • How many course hours watched on YouTube ? • 122.670 hours/year = 204 student*year • 2.8 millions €/year • Cost of professional training • 1h professional training in e-learning : 45€ HT • 8 – 13 millions €/year But value creation is not benefit ! This is why venture firms have problems with MOOCs while European universities are developing them on : benefit first / value creation first. MOOC & openness : issues Open Educational Resources are more than courses – Videos are often hyped .. and the rest is overlooked • Quizze, case studies, platform engineering.. – Is active data open? • Posts in discussion thread • Posts on external social networks (Facebook..) • Work submitted in advanced track (Plagiarism detection) • Our 3 research surveys .. – Is passive data open? • Traces left when using the MOOC platform: navigation • Traces left when using external networks
