1. Gospel (John 4:43-54)
The royal official said to Jesus, “Sir,
come down before my child dies.”
Jesus said to him, “You may go; your
son will live.” The man believed what
Jesus said to him and left. He and
his whole household came to
believe.”

offer that sacrifice for those who
are unwell at this time.
... someone help if you see that
they need it. Respond to the signs
that are given to you.
...Lord, the people in the gospel
would only believe when they saw
your miracles. Give us faith without
seeing. In the words of Thomas,
Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.

2. Gospel (John 5:1-16)
After healing a sick man, Jesus
found him in the temple area and
said, “Look, you are well; do not sin
any more, so that nothing worse may
happen to you.”

intentionally that you know is
wrong. Think about the potential
consequences of some of your
actions.
... respect to all you meet today.
...Dear Jesus, please help me to be
a good person, always looking to
better myself and those around me.
Please forgive me for the times I’ve
hurt you or others. Keep me from
sin today. Amen.
3. Gospel (John 5:17-30)
For the father loves the Son and
shows him everything that he himself
does, and he will show him greater
works than these, so that you may
be amazed. For just as the Father
raises the dead and gives life, so
also does the Son give life to
whomever he wishes.”

today. Rejoice in your gifts and
talents.

today a life giving experience. Be
joyful!
...Lord, we have much to be happy
about but sometimes we only see
the bad stuff. Let us see how great
you are and that in your greatness,
we can truly become people of love
and joy! Amen.
4. Gospel (John 5:31-47)
Jesus said to the Jews, “You search
the Scriptures, because you think
you have eternal life through them;
even they testify on my behalf. But
you do not want to come to me to
have life.”
...from looking for happiness in the
wrong places, knowing that they
are not helpful to you.
... encouragement to someone who
often seems down and almost out!
...Lord, we seek to know the truth
about you and sometimes we look
in the wrong places or find it hard
to accept certain things. Please
give us patience, increase our faith
and give us the hope for eternal
life. Amen
5. Gospel (Matthew 4:4)
One does not live on bread alone,
but on every word that comes forth
from the mouth of God
...from one meal today or eat very
simply. Maybe try living on £1 for
the day, or even maybe try that for
a week!
... your local church the pleasure of
your company during this season.
Why not go to church during Holy
Week and Easter. Give thanks for
all God has provided for you.
...Lord, as we enter this holiday
period, we remember the journey
that you took to your death. You
were not defeated by death though,
and we look with hope to our future
with you, the hope of our
resurrection. Thank you so much
for your love. Amen.
