  2. 2. INTRODUCTION We had been assigned to do a research about the exterior design of Hyundai, Kia and Hummer. The definition of exterior design is the stylist responsible for the design of the exterior of the vehicle develops the proportions, shape, and surfaces of the vehicle. The profession involved in the development of the appearance, and to some extent the ergonomics, of motor vehicles or more specifically road vehicles. Each of the car company provides their own specialties on exterior design. Exterior design included the material used for the body kit and chassis, the aerodynamic of the body, and the shape. Also included then benefit of the technologies used and the exterior component. Every company will research and develop a new product of design to overcome the problem faced and to improve their capabilities.

INTRODUCTION OF HYUNDAI MOTOR COMPANY Hyundai Motor Company is a Korean automaker South Korea.  A Korean word which stands for “modernity”, Hyundai Motor is a division of the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group that manages Kia Motors as well. Hyundai Motor Company was founded by Chung Ju-Yung in 1947, as Hyundai Engineering and Constructions Company. The company was later established as Hyundai Motor Company in 1967 and many new product designs are invested. The company’s slogan reads as “Drive your way” THE LOGO The logo means is the company shaking hands with its customer.

In the nut shell, based on the survey that we carried out throughout these 10 weeks, 1) the exterior designs of the car always change from time to time 2) The exterior design absolutely had change because of the needs and desires of people always changing, 3) car designers and engineers continue to create to ensure that car the car reliable, safer and more fuel efficient. 4) exterior design will change according to the new technologies invented and the new design of talented engineers. 5) Hyundai, Kia and Hummer also will improve their performance creating new design according to time in order to compete with market
