War 2013

  1. 1. By: Jackson,Leo, andDemo
  2. 2. What is war? War for humans is“A state of usually openand armed hostile conflict between nations.”. What happens during war is that peopleslives are lost because of all of the violence.
  3. 3. How does war work? War is usually organized by people ofdifferent countries such as generals, presidents, dictators, and congress. Humans aren’t the only ones who have war.Animals have war, too; only they don’t havegenerals, presidents, dictators, and congressorganize it.
  4. 4. How is war changing? War changes people physically andmentally if they were in war. Technology changed the way warworks. World War 1 changed weaponry all overthe world. A lot more weapons wereinvented. When peoples loved ones die in warthey get sad.
  5. 5. Why is war like it is? People have war because of land, naturalresources, and injustices. Usually after war a peace treaty is made. People also have war because they wantmore territory.
  6. 6. How is it connected to otherthings?War and terrorism can both harm people.War and terrorism are both bad and violent.People involved in both of these things harmpeople physically, mentally, and emotionallyby injuring them either physically oremotionally or making them lose their life.
  7. 7. What are different points of view? People don’t like war because of the loss oflife. Some people think war is for a good causebecause your country gains new land, resources, etc. and some people don’t. Nations involved in war feel confusion, anger, and power. Victims of war (family to those who died atwar) feel angry at the loss of their loved ones. Children feel sad because lives are lost. Theywant to prevent war. Everyone includingchildren can make a difference.
  8. 8. What can we do? To stop war you must encourage othercountries to stop having war. To stop war you must take action in someway to get your message out that war is notright (that’s what my group is doing). Something that countries could do instead ofhaving war is talk about why they are fightingand figure out a way to have peace. Ex. Ifyou’re fighting over land divide tit equally.
  9. 9. What are some examples of war? One of the first recorded wars happened14,000 years ago. We are still settling thingsthe way we did 14,000 years ago. With war.We need to find a different way to settlethings. Total war is an example of a type of war. It’swhere you completely or almost completelydestroy the enemy.
