  4. 4.  Hong Kong is famous as a global centre of trade and business and is a key player in the world of finance. Hong Kong is also famous for its food, culture and shopping offering designer clothing and electrical goods at much lower prices than the West. Attractions include The Star Ferry, The Peak Tram, Hong Kong Disneyland, Ocean Park and its famous skyline which adorns many postcards.
  5. 5.  Hong Kong is one of the world’s most iconic cities, mentioned in the same breath as London, New York and Tokyo, and rightly so; a world power in financial markets, more skyscrapers than any other city and some of the best shopping on earth are just a few of Hong Kong’s claims to fame.

Hong Kong is a city-state, but because of Hong Kongs long history as a colony of the British Empire, the unique "one- country, two-systems" policy is applied; the city-state continues to enjoy a high degree of autonomy even after their return to China.
