  3. 3. <ul><li>Mt. Aso is in the astern part of Kumamoto Prefecture. It is popular with people as symbol of “fire country”,Kumamoto. </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>Mt. Aso (officially, it is called Aso Gogaku) is the largest active volcano in Japan </li></ul>

  6. 6. It is consisted of five big and high peaks. <ul><li>Taka (1592m) </li></ul><ul><li>Naka (1506m) </li></ul><ul><li>Neko (1408m) </li></ul><ul><li>Eboshi (1337m) </li></ul><ul><li>Kisima (1270m)  </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>It is designated as Aso Kujū National Park. </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>It is a leading sightseeing are which there are many hot spring and sightseeing spots. </li></ul>
  9. 9. <ul><li>  In 2007, it was   chosen as geology hundred selection of Japan. </li></ul>
