Shortly after he had to come home,because he got wounded. His novel “A Farewell to Arms” wasinfluenced by his time at war.- Later in life Hemingway had two permanent residences; one wasin Key West, FL, and Cuba.

Ernest shot himself after battling with his depression. His dad passed away the same way. Ernest married four different times while one time being married to another woman at the same time.
