  2. 2. <ul><li>By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to find library materials using call numbers . </li></ul><ul><li>Think of a call number as an address. It tells you where the materials are located in the library. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Each book has a unique call number located: </li></ul><ul><li>on the spine and </li></ul><ul><li>in the library’s online catalog </li></ul>

Call Numbers… <ul><li>consist of letters and numbers; </li></ul><ul><li>are based on the Library of Congress Classification System which organizes items by subject; </li></ul><ul><li>contain at least three lines, read line by line, top to bottom. </li></ul><ul><li>LB </li></ul><ul><li>2365 </li></ul><ul><li>.C65 </li></ul><ul><li>1991 </li></ul>
