Streaming Media
 Streaming media
 is multimedia that is constantly received by, and normally presented
(audio and/or video) to, an end-user while it is being delivered by a
streaming provider. The name refers to the delivery method of the
medium rather than to the medium itself.
 The distinction is usually applied to media that are distributed over
telecommunications networks, as most other delivery systems are either
inherently streaming (e.g. radio, television) or inherently non-streaming
(e.g. books, video cassettes, audio CDs).

Screencasting
 A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen output,
also known as a video screen capture, often containing audio
narration.
 Just as a screenshot is a picture of a user's screen, a
screencastis essentially a movie of the changes over time that
a user sees on his monitor.
 Considering the high cost of instructor / faculty led training and
the relative ineffectiveness of typical computer based training
(CBT) systems, screencasting is likely to become a very
popular technique for imparting high-quality knowledge at a low
cost.
