Streaming Media
Streaming media
is multimedia that is constantly received by, and normally presented
(audio and/or video) to, an end-user while it is being delivered by a
streaming provider. The name refers to the delivery method of the
medium rather than to the medium itself.
The distinction is usually applied to media that are distributed over
telecommunications networks, as most other delivery systems are either
inherently streaming (e.g. radio, television) or inherently non-streaming
(e.g. books, video cassettes, audio CDs).

Webcolleges
A webcollege is a college or class that has been recorded and
put online via streaming video
It can be an entire college or just parts of the college
It usually contains the ‘talking head’ of the trainer and the slides
(content), but it could be only audio, only slides and audio or
only video
It is still in experimental stage

Screencasting
A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen output,
also known as a video screen capture, often containing audio
narration.
Just as a screenshot is a picture of a user's screen, a
screencastis essentially a movie of the changes over time that
a user sees on his monitor.
Considering the high cost of instructor / faculty led training and
the relative ineffectiveness of typical computer based training
(CBT) systems, screencasting is likely to become a very
popular technique for imparting high-quality knowledge at a low
cost.

Editor's Notes
GIL is the underlying/overarching concept at KULeuvenIt is of course also the perspective from which we organise the didactical/pedagogical aspects in each question for support.
