  2. 2. <ul><li>Figuring out how many calories you burn or your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is important for any weight goal you have, gaining, losing or maintaining. This simple equation will help you figure out how many calories you should eat per day to get to your goal. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>1) For Male: (6.23 x weight in pounds) </li></ul><ul><li>2) For Male: (12.7 x height in inches) </li></ul><ul><li>3) For Male: (6.8 x age in year) </li></ul><ul><li>4) For Male: 66 </li></ul><ul><li>5) Add steps 1 -4 together. </li></ul><ul><li>Now you have your BMR (basal metabolic rate) or the number of calories you burn by just sitting there. Go to step 6 to factor in physical activity. </li></ul>
