  4. 4. Literary Works to name a few<br />1984 published in 1950 is George Orwell’s vision of a nightmarish utopia.<br />
  5. 5. More Literary Works<br />Animal Farm published in 1946 was based on All animals are created equal. Some interesting twists and turns when animals tried to create an equal society but recreated human society.<br />
  6. 6. Social Injustice<br />Definition:<br />the distribution of advantages and disadvantages within a society (dictionary.com)<br />Orwell’s book 1984 discusses how certain party members are authorized real coffee and sugar<br />
  7. 7. Social Engineering<br />Definition:<br />the application of the findings of social science to the solution of actual social problems (dictionary.com)<br />
  8. 8. Social Class<br />Definition:<br />a broad group in society having common economic, cultural, or political status (dictionary.com).<br />In Animal Farm, all the animals decided “four legs good, two legs bad (Orwell 30)”<br />
  9. 9. Conclusion<br />George Orwell’s writings influenced how some lived their lives and acted in society. His views often “scared” people as some of his views were very blunt and not a lot of room for discussion.<br />One quote from Mr. Orwell:<br />“If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever.”<br />
