  2. 2. What is the CEO Forum? <ul><li>The CEO Forum on Education and Technology was an organization (1996-2001) formed to help schools in America prepare all students to be contributing citizens and productive workers in the 21st Century </li></ul>

Purpose of Report <ul><li>Collect and synthesize research that has been compiled over the past 5 years regarding the use of technology in schools. </li></ul><ul><li>Encourage schools to take action to ensure technology improves our nation’s schools and prepares students to succeed in the competitive global economy. </li></ul>

Why Now? <ul><li>National focus on student achievement and accountability </li></ul><ul><li>Education technology provides a variety of tools that aim to: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>improve student achievement </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Create accountability frameworks based on continuous improvement </li></ul></ul>

Questions and Comments <ul><li>The results of the article are what I expect them to be…that educational technology can improve student achievement. </li></ul><ul><li>What methods of research were used to gather this information? </li></ul><ul><li>Information was difficult to follow with many side bars of information, tables, and columns. I would have keep the format the same throughout the article. </li></ul><ul><li>I would like to see a follow up that includes how school are implementing these recommendations and whether or not they see an improvement in student achievement. </li></ul>
