4. New to the field of design education
was the requirement that an institution
was not to judge itself based
only
on the quality of its graduation projects,
but rather on the quality of job opportunities
found by students
during his/her whole career
5. The pressure coming from the society which
waits for design schools for solving some
complex problems the business and
the engineering schools can’t solve anymore
6. The focus is no longer solely on training
« creative individuals »
but « creative professionals »
Design has become a discipline of project
management at the same time when the
capacity of innovation is becoming a priority
criterion for business and society.
7. Student designers must have learned the
business at the same time they learned sharing,
collaboration, team spirit and the need to work
together
They must have learned to
share their ideas
9. Design schools take a new identity: a center
of innovation exhibiting an objective and
reproducible nature.
They become
« centers of experimentation of the future »
11. A new quality criterion will be implemented
for the most efficient creation venues.
The percentage of students who start
their own business based
on products they
devised during their studies will be decisive.
Implementation of « incubation centers » is
expected.
12. A new era for entrepreneurship
More reasonnable
More sustainable
To build a better future
