  3. 3. COVER PAGE MAIN IMAGE• The main image on this cover page is of 50 cent.• It is a medium close up and shows his expression which is angry or stern. This links with the coverline “WHO‟S AFRAID OF 50 CENT?”. The image allows you to answer the question.• It comes out of the magazine and makes you feel intimidated.• Clothes directly relate to his genre of music of Rap – vest, cap and „bling‟.
  4. 4. COVER PAGE MASTHEAD• Masthead is a consistent font and size every edition of the magazine but the colour changes. The same can be said for the whole cover.• Distinct font allows instant recognition from audience.• Magazine is mainly focused on Rap and R&B.• The masthead stretches across the whole magazine and is behind the image.
  5. 5. COVER PAGE COVERLINES• The main cover line on the magazine directly relates to the main image. It asks the reader if they are afraid of 50 cent and then pulls a quote out of the magazine – “I DON‟T SEE SENSE IN RESOLVING ISSUES WITH ANYBODY.” This again reflects the hard background nature of his genre Rap.• The other coverlines are all about the contents of the magazine. Along the top we see the main artists that people like the most – Beyoncé, Lil Wayne and Shakira.• No real house colour style, all different colours.• Coverlines are Sans Serif.• Arranged in a „C‟ pattern which is pleasant to the eye of the reader.

  8. 8. HOUSE STYLE OF VIBE MAGAZINE• Cover page –• The masthead on every magazine is across the whole page and is always in the same font.• Coverlines are always in the same place and all follow the „C‟ pattern which makes the cover pleasant to the eye for the reader.
