幼稚園では動物たちが「気持ちいい」・「意志の固い」・「予測しづらい / しやすい」・「大体
友好的な」存在です。
人間と接するときは、話せば相手の思いや行為がある程理解できますが、動物の場合は
自分の過去の経験やその場で見られるシグナルから意味を与えなければなりません。
無生物とまた違って、前の日とまったく違うフィードバックを見せてくれる傾向もあります。
とても気持ちの良い研究「相手」 / 「対象物」です！
Animals are a comfy, (un)predictable, self-determined and often friendly presence in
the kindergarten.
Humans can explain their feelings and actions to some degree, but with animals we
must construct our own understandings from our past experience and the signals at
hand.
As opposed to inanimate objects they are prone to provide us with feedback that is
very different from previous encounters.
What a delightful research partner / subject.

When you are asked to retrieve materials for ‘chicken experiments’ from outside
kindergarten grounds it makes a tired adult like myself feel like a real researcher, and
builds my self-esteem…… Thanks kids!
