Students who were able 
to get their tasks done got 
a gift card. 
They are now motivated 
to make more complex 
mind map which 
will help them in the future 
to be more organized 
and productive.
Strengths: 
 Making the task easy by breaking down the steps. 
 Encouraging students to master their 
task by providing a feedback and reward.
But what about other 
students who were not 
able to finish the task?!!
Student 1 
This student got frustrated because 
she has some difficulty in drawing a circle. 
Every time she draws a circle, 
the teacher would ask her 
to erase it and draw a correct one. 
This student has a good skill 
in drawing on computer. 
If she draws by computer, 
she would draw better 
than what was trying to do, as long as the aim 
is to know how to create a mind map.
Drawback 1: 
Behaviorism focus only on specific pattern 
of Evaluation.
Student 2 
This student drew a mind map, 
but she drew different shapes instead of circles 
like “harts and tringles. 
The teacher insisted that student has to 
master this basic shape. 
Actually, there are multiple ways to create 
a mind map. 
Behaviorism wants learners to learn by a 
particular view of learning.
Drawback 2: 
Behaviorism has no place for 
learner’s creativity.
