Technology powerpoint completed
1. What have you learnt about technologies from the
process of constructing this product?
I have learnt throughout my media coursework about several different pieces of
technology, I have gained a vaster understanding of how to use Photoshop and used a
lot more different Photoshop tools, including the magnetic lasso tool to layer images
and adding drop shadows, which I had also never used before.
Moving away from what I have learnt from Photoshop, I have also learnt how to use
software such as Blogger, Slideshare and Survey Monkey which are all webpage's I
have never used before. Therefore by never using them before I have learnt how to
use the webpage's and using Blogger the most out of all the webpage's, I have learnt
how to post blog updates and how to upload slideshows from slideshare onto my blog
along with being able to edit my posts and change the layout of my blog to make my
work easier to find around on my blog. Also by combining the use of webpage's such
as Survey Monkey and Facebook, I have been able to gain more responses for my
survey before posting on my blog, rather than using just Survey Monkey alone as the
webpage’s used as a combination works better than using them on their own.
2. What have you learnt about technology as a whole in this
project?
Throughout my project I have realized just how important technology is and how much
we need to use it in order for my magazine to work. Whether using a PC, a Mac, a
mobile phone and a camera and tripod , they are all different varieties of hardware
technology which have been used in order to create my magazine and the research
towards my magazine.
Without being able to access a PC for my work, I wouldn't have had the access to the
software and webpage’s that I have used in order to create my magazine, the use of
technology has been a vital part of my work and by using technology it saves me a lot
of time and the internet saves the most time with the research aspect of existing
products which have influenced my ideas in the production of my own magazine.
