History Alabama State University was founded in 1867, ASU is a black university that’s located in Montgomery, Alabama ASU is a member school in Thurgood Marshall College. Nine ex-slaves Thomas Lee, John Freeman, Nathan Levert , David Harris, Alexander H. Curtis, Joey Pinch, Thomas Speed, Nickolas Dale, James Childs were the people who founded it Alabama State University.

Why do I want to attend this college?? I want to attend this college and have the opportunity to go out of state. So that I can learn new things and new places. I chose ASU cause I’ve always dream of staying in Alabama and going too school there too. Getting a degree in something I enjoy I love kids and I also want to work with kids.
