  • In case of VHF or Mini Uhf License, use of wireless/ radios is site specific, which is clearly mentioned in LOA, Letter Of Allotment, it clearlt specifies a range within which wireless can be operated. Usually organisations buy walky talkies for a a particular location & takes it to other location or or city or state etc which is completely illegal unless All India License is obtained & for which different DOT Fee/Royalty charges are appplicable.

Also a person possessing wireless sets must have a License in his organisation's name & hence Rental use of wireless sets (Walky talky) on dealer's lecense or Demonstration license is completely illegal unless organisation has subsribed for Public Mobile Radio Trunking operator who is authorised by Deptt of Telecom to operate these services in India....So be careful do not use any VHF or Mini Uhf radios on rental..use it only for location mentioned as per LOA...Demo frequencies can not be used for unlimited period...refer WPC site for details.... illegal possession of Wireless sets is as offenseas per Indian Telegraphic law & Directors who are signing application papaers must be careful & must take precaution for compliance of wireless usage as per LOA
