  1. 1. Wordpress <ul>Wordpress is an open source Web publishing tool. We can create our own blogs with use of wordpress. We can create a blog for free in wordpress but it has some limits. We can download it as an application and can add more features. </ul>
  2. 2. Design using wordpress Dashboard: This is the control panel for the developer which shows the blog's status and also to develop the blog. Post: Edit : To add content to the site add post and to update,delete the content. Add new: To add new post to the site. Categories: To classify the content by giving a meaningfull name.

  4. 6. Add media <ul>Media: To view or add a file such as image or document with the post. Add new : To attach new files there is two options flash uploader and file uploader. Links: To view and update all the Hyper text that we have added and to add new links to the site. Page: This is a static one the developer can use this as a bibliography. </ul>
  5. 8. Download theme and plugin Downloaded themes and plugins can be used in our blog by copy and paste the files in the following path: /opt/lampp/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/themes /opt/lampp/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins
  6. 10. Apperance <ul>Themes: To add a theme or to change a theme this tool is used. Widgets: To add a widget drag the corresponding widget to the side bar which is already built-in. Editor: To edit the codings of the template. Add Theme: We can also find themes online and apply it to the blog. Custom Header: This tool is used to customize the header part of the page as we like. </ul>
  7. 15. Plugins <ul>Plugin: Plugins extend and expand the functionality of WordPress. You may automatically install plugins from the WordPress. <li>We can also add plugins to the page by uploading as a zip file.

  11. 19. Tools Users: This tool is used to view the list of users and their privileges. Your profile: This tools is used to customize the profile to change the password and to add personal information.
  12. 21. Tools Import: If you have posts or comments in another system, WordPress can import those into the blog. Export: By clicking this we can download our blog as a XML file. This format, which we call WordPress eXtended RSS or WXR, will contain our posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags. Once you’ve saved the download file, we can import into another blog.
