PUPPETS
A puppet is a doll or figure made
to look a person or an animal.
What else could you
use to present
language orally ???
CONTROLLED PRACTİSE
           Controlled practice
           goes hand in hand
           with presentation
           since it is important
           that pupils try out
           new language as
           soon as they have
           heard it.
In controlled
practice there
is little
chance that
pupils can
make a
mistake.
Once the pattern is established with the class, they can
happily do it in pairs and you can use the same variety of ways
of getting the caontrolled practice.
GUIDED PRACTICE
Guided practice
is an activity that
provides students
the opportunity to
grasp and
development
concepts or skills
and requires
teachers to
monitor student
progress.
Teachers use guided
        practice…
• As an
  additional
  check for
  understandin
  g
• Prior to
  closure
• To determine
  the level of
• It is the easiest
  part of the lesson
  because you are
  doing the learning
  objective. And after
  closure comes
  ’’Independent
  Pracice’’.
DIALOGUES AND ROLE PLAY
              • A dialogue is a
                conversation
                which is carried
                on between two
                or more
                persons.A role
                play is getting
                together with
                some friends
                to write a story.
• Role play allows
  the students to
  combine what
  they know in a
  stimulated
  situation so they
  can gain a deeper
  understanding of
  concepts.
• Many of the abstract
  concepts can be
  difficult to
  understand for
  students to
  comprehend and
  role play makes
  them easier to
  understand by
  providing a hands-on
  experience with it.
What is the importance of dialogues
      and role play work ?????
• As well as feeding imagination and
encouraging , empathy, they are a powerful
  way of developing social skills.
• Recall and extend special moments in their
favourite stories using them appropriately in
  real life situations.
• Role reversal is fun for young children.
Role reversal is fun for young children, particularly
when it involves becoming Mum or Dad for a while.
A very important aspect pf dialogue and role play is the
function it plays in socialisation-encouraging friendship
through cooperation, listening and turn-taking.
