  2. 2. About Walt Whitman * He was america's most influential and innovative writer. * He was born into a working class famliy in the west hills of Long Island, New York.
  3. 3. About Walt Whitman Continued.. * Walt Whitman was the second of nine children. * He was withdrawn from public school at the age of eleven to help support his family. * He was self taught mainly. * He read greatly and became aquainted with Shakespeare early in life.
  4. 4. Walt Whitman's Writing * The most memorable thing about his writing is that usually he doesn't rhyme, but he still maintains to make the poem sound just as good. * He began writing when he was younger and became well skilled and he wrote for newspapers. * Often called the father of free verse. * He usually incorporated his beliefs of transcendentalism and realism.
  5. 6. About Me .. * I was born on February 2nd, 1993 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. * Im the youngest of two children.
  6. 7. About Me Contiuned.. * Growing up I really didn't enjoy reading and writing that much. *Been getting educated ever since Pre-K at age four.
  7. 8. My Writing Style * I don't really like writing but when I do write I enjoy writing on topics such as life and love.
