  3. 3. PROPERTIES OF MATERIAL • INSOLUBLE : Materials that do not mix with water and are still visible are called Insoluble .

  5. 5. PROPERTIES OF MATERIAL • OBJECT THAT FLOAT OR SINK IN WATER Sinking means object that goes below the water . Floating means that float on top of water . Some materials float in water while others sink: Materials like sand, sugar and salt sink in water. Materials like wax, oil and wood float on water.
  6. 6. PROPERTIES OF MATERIAL • TRANSPARENCY • TRANSPARENT : Materials through which things can be seen are called transparent. For example, glass, water, air, test tube. • TRANSLUCENT : Materials through which things are only partially visible are called translucent. For example, butter paper, old glass door. • OPAQUE : Materials through which we are not able to see are called opaque. For example, wood, iron, gold.
