And what do you think about these photos?Last January 6, 2012, the Department of Tourism of the Philippines launch its new tourism campaign named "It's more fun in the Philippines." According to tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez, the campaign is simple and truthful and answers the simple question
“Why should I go to the Philippines?” He also said that their strategy is simple: while other countries invite you to observe, Filipinos can promise a more heartfelt and interesting experience. Theircampaign is to invite people to join in. We have to be competitive. The tourism industry leader Jaime Cura added that the new slogan is worth a try, considering the DOT has gotten the best marketing and advertising minds to formulate the country brand. Moreover Cura said,“It is simple and easy to remember. It focuses on fun and should therefore resonate to anyone who is thinking of traveling to seek relaxation and fun."
The campaign featured a new logo, which features a pixelized and colorful image of the Philippine map following the pattern of a banig (handwoven mat).
A website was also dedicated for the program (http://itsmorefuninthephilippines.com/) but still under construction. On the other hand, the government's new tourism campaign drew mixed reaction from the public, but for the DOT, the new slogan could attract more foreign tourists to the Philippines.
And imediately several photos featuring things that are "more fun in the Philippines" have been making the rounds on the Internet, prompting others to come up with ideas of their own.
An image of spider fighting, a popular pastime in the country, read: "Street Fights. More Fun in the Philippines.
A photo of Ifugaos riding wooden scooters in Mountain province, on the other hand, had the text: “Mountain Bikes?. More fun in the Philippines.

Gratitude is another good trait of the Filipinos. They are grateful to those who have granted them favors or who are good to them. Their high sense of gratitude is expressed in the phrase Utang na loob (debt of honor).
Also Filipinos are cheerful people. This is evidenced by the fact that many Filipinos love to celebrate like fieta or festival. Another reason why its more fun in the Philippines is it’s natural wonder.
