  31. 31. NON FORMAL EENON FORMAL EE Youths and adults like Scouts practice EE NON FORMAL (outside school syllabus). Programs involve publics youngsters to adults.── The teaching is non formal (both TIME and GRADES are NOT emphasized). “Students” learn at their own time Method: “learning-by-doing” (has high degree of meaningful and remembered longer by these “outside classroom students”) Lately, EE has been infused in and a part of the learning process. ACTION STRATEGIESACTION STRATEGIES Positive: Action helps improve or maintain the quality of environment. Negative: Action decreases the quality of environment. Passive: “No Action”… neither supports nor hurts the environment. CONCLUSION EE Approach in Scouting adopts holistic approach Non formal education plays complementary role to the formal education in school. The non formal is another way of learning but suggested to utilize all UNESCO goals. It recognizes that it can only make a contribution to the community.  It will promote the Earth to be the BEST and suitable environment for us to live.
