  2. 2. Are technical services handled on site?<br />Mostly not…<br />Most library books and materials are ordered from Follet<br />Follet ordered books come with labels and barcodes already assembled<br />

Procedures<br />Fast Facts<br />Call supervisor’s office for a label request<br />Staff retrieves label information<br />Label with call number and barcode are made and sent over to school.<br />Any creation of MARC record is done there<br />It only takes 1 hour to have labels made<br />$12 buys 60 labels <br />Paid from internal accounts<br />What if materials arrive without labels?<br />

Binding comes from outsourced materials<br />Stickers, such as tattle strips & barcodes come with outsourced materials<br />Media Specialist makes her own genre stickers and uses special tape for adhesive<br />paperback books are rarely ordered because they do NOT last<br />Binding and Physical Processing<br />
