  2. 2. Current situation Amount of elearning and distance education has increased Strategic choices Investments to Support services Staff, support for the development of teachers’ online teaching skills, equipment, software

Strategy -> where we are now? <ul><li>Strategic choice: to implement adult education (degree programmes) online </li></ul><ul><li>Tools used: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>iLinc virtual classroom </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Moodle </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Social media (Wordpress, MediaWiki etc.) </li></ul></ul><ul><li>At the moment approx. 20 000 hours of use of virtual classroom (iLinc) in Lapland per month </li></ul><ul><li>96% of teachers teach online </li></ul><ul><li>Approx. 500 students who study mainly on online </li></ul><ul><li>5+2 persons in eLearning support services </li></ul>
