Customer ReviewDefinitely Not A Guitar For A Moderate To Exceptional Player, But Good For A Childs Beginner Guitar. : I would have to start bysaying that this is not the best quality guitar available, as the finish and machines are not the best around, but it does play well and my 14year old daughter is enjoying learning on it. I recommend buying a good set of strings to go with your purchase of this guitar as the ones thatcome with it are very light and snapped within the first two weeks. The new strings we put on sound much better and hold a tune muchlonger than the originals. Overall, you tend to get what you pay for, but it has held up well and remains playable with the abuse my daughterhas issued.Ideal Starter Instrument : This guitar is very good value for the price, and is an ideal starter guitar for kids like mine who have neverplayed an instrument, but want to start. I will probably replace it if the playing and lessons go well, but if not at least I have not spent toomuch money. The guitar looks OK (it has a few minor scratches) but it tunes very well, strings are fairly easy to replace (for someone with no experience atall), and is probably great for kids aged up to about 13/14.In Surprisingly Good Shape : The head is beautiful and same with the neck and body, but im a little disappoint because of the base beingglued on but other than that, great guitar...its a little hard to restring it but worth the effort.Nothing Fancy, But It Works. : Okay, so I read a lot of the reviews, and it sounds like some people had manufacturing problems? I dontknow, but my guitar came to me in good condition. There are a few problems like:1) Its not perfect, duh. You hear these people complaining about little nicks in the wood under the paint.. Its a $10.00 guitar, not a Taylor.2) Everyone was right, you DEFINITELY have to replace the strings. Theyre worthless. Someone suggested getting nylons? No. If you wantyour fingers to callus so that you can actually play guitar- youre going to need to buy steels. If its for a little child, nylons should be fine, butif youre some college kid like me that just wanted a cheap guitar to play in their dorm- steels, steels, steels.3) The accessories the guitar come with are all pretty.. lame. They gave me a bass pick? Haha, like thanks a lot for the bass pick and theacoustic guitar... The "soft, gig" bag is a cheaply made gym bag in the shape of a guitar. Actually, my gym bag is of WAY better quality.. itsjust too small for a guitar. The extra set of strings are still as bogus as the first, and the only real thing worth having is the tuning pipe, butthere are easier ways to tune these anyway. There are some upsides, like:1) You only paid $10 for it. And for what youre paying for, its worth having a guitar around.2) It doesnt stayed tuned for the LONGEST time, so you get plenty of practice in tuning it, especially if youre learning to tune by ear. (Ithink this is a plus for beginners... If you turn out to be a decent guitarist one day but still need mummy to tune it for you, thats a problem!)3) This product that I received is not total crap. Some people complained about theres being "un-tunable"... Mine tunes just fine. And staysturned through about one song, not much more though.Overall, if you got this guitar to goof off on or to see if youre interested in guitars, its worth the investment. If youre looking for a legitimateguitar, then you know by now that a $10.00 guitar was not made for gigs. Best wishes to everyone, and please enjoy! My New Guitar : I received my guitar today, and I Love it. I received it in excellent condition. The only concern I have is that there was nopackaging information in the box, no receipt, and no information on the guitar itself and what was included. I do believe I receivedeverything. There was the guitar, a carring case, a pic, a tuning pipe, an extra set of strings, and the belt. I thought a small beginners bookwould come with it, but it was what I thought, it did not say it in the description.
This was my christmas gift to myself this year, and I LOVE IT!!!Thank you with all my heart,Rose MarieVery Good, Once Restrung. : Ok there seems to be be a great deal of contrasting views.First things first i am competent guitar player, not great but i know whats going on.I am very happy with this guitar, for $15 it is outstanding value and surprisingly well made. The original strings are useless and both sets snapped under tuning, just buy some new ones for 4 bucks and it will be fine. The guitar is very easy to play thanks its short neck and low action, it sounds very nice aswell. Not Good, But Good For Price : Look, quality and price, are hard to understand, If this would cost more than $100 usd, It wont reach evenhalf start, but for the price is easily 3 starts. The guitar sound is decent, anything else is bad quality, even the guitar itself it bad quality, but you cant ask more for the price, this is areally, really good price, I actually have a fender electric guitar, and you cant notice quality difference with closed eyes, but your wallet willnotice the price difference too.If you want something worth the money, this is perfect, the only complain I have, is that if cheap is in mind, they could remove uselessthings in the pack and replace them with a better finish quality in the guitar. The pack was really dirty by the way.Decent : Okay, so Im a college student and I traveled across the country for school. I have a $600 Takamine acoustic electric at home anddidnt want to damage it on the travel so I got this guitar as a throw away for my dorm room. I opened it up and it all seemed pretty good. Itsdefinitely a pretty guitar (if it was made better), but for twenty dollars or so, I think its a pretty good deal. For example, they gave me a Gstring that was just about ready to bust... and it did. Luckily, they included some extra strings in the package, but I only got five extra strings, not 6... Still, for the price, I think it is definitely good. For those of you who want to buy this guitar for a beginner, I say spend the extra money and get them something thats better quality. My fretboard has weird grooves on the sides from the glue melting and expanding the wood. Also theres no markings to tell you where the fifth fretis and other helpful markers for beginners. My fretboard has an extra itty bitty fret at the top of the board because it was probably cut fromanother piece. Its mass-produced so its not going to be god quality, but for my reasoning and the price, its decent. Its what the review and product is labeled as "a toy" not "an instrument." That pretty much sums it up.Dissappointed Buyer : I was planning to return it but with its shipping cost I just decided to keep it and put it in our storage room. Dontknow what happened but it cant be tuned by anyone. Even my daughters orchestra teacher surrendered tuning the guitar Ive bought in yoursite. But just the same, we tried to use it but to our dismay, the strings went off one by one. Too bad but its a lesson for me not to settle foran inexpensive musical instrument once I plan to buy another one again. thank you.Great Product! : For the price it was perfect for my 7 year old kid!
