"Improving the learning experience with audio and videopodcasts."
A podcast is an audio file available on the internet for downloading via a subscription service, such as an RSS feed.
Students can listen and watch podcasts on a variety of devices including iPods, MP3 players, smartphones and PCs.
Podcasts are an easy way of distributing a series of audio or video files on the internet. In a classroom setting, students would be able to subscribe, download and view podcasts assigned to them by an instructor and the podcasts would provide students with guidance on weekly learning activities.
Podcasts are convenient and can be accessed anytime and anywhere using a mobile media player. They provide students with the opportunity to go back to the material in order to gain a better understanding of the course. Listening may be more attractive and less tedious than reading.
