 Dr. AppaRao Mukkamala, a practicing radiologist for
40 years, takes an active role in the world community
of Indian-born physicians. Dr. AppaRao Mukkamala
maintains membership in the American Association of
Physicians of Indian Origin, which supports physicians
from India in achieving professional excellence.
In early January of 2015, the American Association of
Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) held its ninth annual
Global Healthcare Summit in Mumbai, India. The
event included addresses by political leaders as well
as world-class professional education, which ran
concurrently with a forum on hospital executive
leadership.

 On the final day of the event, AAPI president Dr. Ravi
Jahagirdar announced the launch of the Global
Clinical Trials Network.
The network, which members across the United States
will provide, incorporates large groups with the
capability of running trials as well as individuals and
small groups whose role will be to provide referrals.
Provectus Biopharmaceuticals, an oncology research
company, has signed on as the network's first
member. Nearly 1 million professionals worldwide
witnessed this groundbreaking announcement,
thanks to live-streaming of the summit.
