  4. 4. His doctrine “No mans knowledge here can go beyond his experience. “ - John Locke We are born without knowledge, it is gained by our life experiences.
  5. 5. An essay concerning human understanding” Concerns the foundation of human knowledge and understanding. the mind at birth is like a blank slate The essay was one of the principal sources of empiricism in modern philosophy, and influenced many enlightenment philosophers.
