  54. 54. TECH SPECSThe  following  is  a  tenta.ve  list  of  technologies  we’ll  need  to  build  NDTV  Submerge:  Development  So,ware  MicrosoW  Visual  Studio®  Team  System  2008  Team  Suite  Programming  Languages  C#,  JavaScript  Programming  model  and  technologies  MicrosoW  Silverlight,  Deep  Zoom,  MicrosoW  .NET  Framework  3.5,  MicrosoW  ASP.NET
  55. 55. BACKEND REQUIREMENTSTo  make  NDTV  Submerge  a  reality,  we  need  more  than  just  slick  front  end  graphics.  The  soul  of  the  idea  rests  on  the  tagging  and  categorizing  needed  on  the  back-‐end.    Making  connec;ons  possible.  To  build  the  right  connec.ons,  and  create  fresh  perspec.ves,  every  video  uploaded  by  NDTV  will  have  to  be  tagged  across  mul.ple  tag  types  –  like  topic,  prominent  people  in  the  story,  ins.tu.ons  involved  and  keywords,  besides  the  standard  date,  .me  and  loca.on.    Human  beings  o,en  make  mistakes,  but  users  seldom  forgive  or  forget.  Given  the  importance  of  correct  tagging,  a  robust  Content  Management  System  will  need  to  be  built  that  minimizes  human  error.  By  offering  sugges.ons  for  tags,  checking  for  common  spelling  mistakes,  and  cross-‐checking  new  metadata  with  the  exis.ng  database.  CMS  design  will  play  as  important  a  role  in  this  project  as  the  visual  design  shown  in  this  presenta.on.
