The facts• Growth and Jobs are both declining – not increasing• UN Millenium Development Goals are missed• We‘re a long way from EU ‚knowledge economy‘ targets: – 75% of the 20-64 year-olds to be employed – 3% of the EUs GDP to be invested in R&D – at least 40% of 30-34–year-olds completing third level
