Organic food activity - photos

  2. 2. This is Östanbäck monastary<br />In september 2010 we went to visit Östanbäck monastary. The monks of Östanbäck grow their own food in their garden so they can live as enviroment-friendly and ecological as possible. The purpose of this visit was to learn more about locally produced food. <br />
  3. 3. This is the chapel where they go several times a day to pray. <br />The signs on the door tell us that we are welcome inside but that we need to be quiet.<br />
  4. 4. Brother Birger and Jeanette were kind<br />to show us around and explain their way of living.<br />
  5. 5. This is a part of the cultivation were they grew potaoes, onions and other vegetables.<br />
  6. 6. This is sister Jeanette.<br />She is talking about her garden and showed her own foodgarden.<br />

  10. 10. Visiting the KRAV-farmer<br />
  11. 11. We went to the farmer’s shop. He sold potatoes, vegetables and herbs from his farm. <br />
  12. 12. In one of the greenhouses you could pick your own <br />tomatoes to buy.<br />
  13. 13. The carrots were beautiful as you can see. <br />
  14. 14. Our organic lunch project<br />
  15. 15. Victoria and Gunvor are searching for the right ingredients. In the trolley you can se herbs, carrots,<br />red onions, beetroots and potatoes.<br />

  17. 17. Anton and Sofie are preparing the food. <br />
  18. 18. For dessert we made a <br />chocolate cake with <br />raspberrys using KRAV and Fairtrade products.<br />

  20. 20. At last we were ready to sit down and enjoy dinner together with<br />a group of friends from school. <br />
