  3. 3. The Earth rotates once every 24 hours.Each time the Earth rotates we have oneday and one night. When we are on thesun side of the earth, we have daylight.When we rotate away from the sun, wehave night.
  4. 4. The moon rotates around theEarth. On many nights, wecan see it, but it does not makeits own light. The Sun lights themoon.
  5. 5. The Earth revolves around the Sun.The path it takes is called the Earth’sOrbit. It takes one YEAR to go aroundthe Sun.
  6. 6. The earth travels around the sun, our sourceof light and heat. The earth also rotates,or spins during it’s journey. The countriesthat are turned toward the sun get daylight.
