  1. 1. It began in the Arabian Peninsula in the 7 century. Islam as a religion was established by Muhammad, a member of the Arabic Quraish tribe from the West-Central part of the Arabian Peninsula in the region of present-day Mecca.  Muhammad is a real person who lived from AD 570-632.
  2. 2. *The Arabian Peninsula is a flat region between the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean, mainly covered by deserts. They were polytheistic until Islam spread across the peninsula.
  3. 3. *Muhammad was founder of Islam.In the Muslim religion, Muhammad considered himself ”The last of the Prophets”
  4. 4. For thousands of years, with few exceptions the woman has been subjected and dominated by the man who restricts their rights and freedoms and tramples and humiliates his personality and pride.
  5. 5. It is the first and most important pillar of Islam. Condenses the essence of Islamic doctrine in a short sentence
  6. 6. *It is the second pillar of Islam. Every Muslim must pray five times a day toward Mecca.
  7. 7. *Charity is the third pillar of Islam. The Koran Refers to it in more than 80 occasions.
  8. 8. *The fasting month of Ramadan is the fourth pillar of Islam and one of the characteristics of Islam best known among non-Muslims.
  9. 9. *It is the fifth pillar of Islam. The Muslim should pilgrimage at least once in life to the city of Mecca, provided you have the economic and health conditions necessary.
  10. 10. This period began from the year 622, when Muhammad in Medina organized a community of faithful who soon became strong enough to unify the entire Arabian Peninsula
